Sylvia Plath work

sir just before I do my work is birthday present a poem about a baby and I also am struggling to understand the applicant but is it a poem about insecurity?

evidence for emotion in daddy

“I have lived like a foot For thirty years, poor and white, Barely daring to breathe or Achoo”

this can insinuate that she is scared ,because she says she can not make a noise or a breath meaning she could be trying to hide from something or someone.

“I have had to kill you. You died before I had time–”

the emotion in this sentence is anger, mainly because shes making threat on her fathers life .Which is very extreme and this could mean that she had a bad past with her father.

“I have always been scared of you, With your Luftwaffe, your gobbledygoo.”

for this sentence its very easy to see the general emotion is fear but what is interesting is she gives reasons the first being Luftwaffe which is the Nazi German air force her father was German but she is implying that her father was a Nazi soldier these soldiers are seen as a figure of pain through the period of  the second world war and also in modern times because of what they did to europe.an other reason is gobbledygoo which i would understand as gibberish but maybe its her referencing to a different language which would be probably be German because she links to it in the poem 4 or so times this is not a common modern fear but it would of probably been a fear in the times of the second world warit would of been seen as the language of evil because of the brutal nazi regime.

” a swastika So black no sky could squeak through. Every woman adores a Fascist, The boot in the face, the brute Brute heart of a brute like you”

the emotion i can gather from this pain from when she says the boot in the face and from the mention of black which can also be related to darkness which is often related with pain.

“There’s a stake in your fat black heart And the villagers never liked you. They are dancing and stamping on you. They always knew it was you. Daddy, daddy, you b**tard, I’m through”

this paragraph is in my view is the most strong when it comes to emotion and variety of emotion she is at this angry pointing out how black and dark this person is and almost telling her father that they are better dead and that every body is happy that he has passed and by swearing at him but i can also detect pain by when she repeats “daddy”  repeating something which many people do when they are crying or trying to reinforcing a point but both of these reasons lead me to believing that she is showing the most emotion in this paragraph.

evidence for emotion in the arrival of the bee box

“they can die, I need feed them nothing, I am the owner.”

“wonder how hungry they are. I wonder if they would forget me If I just undid the locks and stood back and turned into a tree. There is the laburnum, its blond colonnades, And the petticoats of the cherry.”
sir can i post the responses tomorrow please ive got loads of history work which I need to finish
