updated due to a complication sir sorry

There are many themes in the plays of Shakespeare but the three main most prominent themes I believe are the transition of power, social conformity and sexual transition in the following piece i will explain these three aspects in the next couple of  paragraphs

This theme is used allot in Shakespeare such plays such as Macbeth ,  Henry the fifth and Richard the third these are just three of eight plays which have this underlining themes under this theme there are many small themes such as ambition and jallousy [see appendix 1 for quotes] there are many violent power transitions in Shakespeare plays such as Richard the third, Hamlet and Macbeth but in some plays such as king leer deal with volentry and peaceful transition of power.

Another theme which is prominent is social conformity is in taming of the shrew Katherine is avoided by potential suitors because she does not act within the walls of social traditionalist rules and not also to the expectations of the society as well  and only finds a place in society when she learns to do so . Coriolanus also fails to achieve his political ambitions because he will not conform. social conformity is also very prominent in today’s society people love the idea of ” fitting in” so the idea i could guess that this idea was also very current at the time  it must of been very current as well due to the fact that the class system was very much more in society so the idea of being part of a group or faction must of been very inviting making the audience really understand the play.

sexual identity is also a popular theme of Shakespeare it tends to bee used in his comedy’s mostly, its mostly many of Shakespeare’s  plays involve women who impersonate men.such as in Twelfth Night, makes a number of  statements about how men love more than women do, and Viola, in her guise as Ceasario, poignantly explodes them back in Shakespeare’s day many people belived that women were more sexualy charged then men making husbands be completily paronoyed and many a time Shakespeare dums this completely void stereotype in many plays many some charecters such as Imogen, Desdemona, Mrs. Ford and Hero are all falsely suspected of adultery, and they are all innocent

  • Mehdi, this was definitely worth the wait. In this you have demonstrated a real understanding of the value of thinking through the information available and selecting the material that is the most valuable for our specific needs. As a result everyone in the class is going to benefit from your work.

You also included a decent bibliography, which puts you well ahead of everyone else.

It’s a job well done, my good man.
