The play starts in a tavern in the english country side where a drunken man is having an argument with a taverness after a while of arguing he then leaves the tavern and passes out outside while this is going on a local lord is coming by coming back from a hunting session and finds him passed out on the ground then the lord decides to play a trick on him and try to convice him that he is a lord so he wakes up and he is shrowded in beautiful robes and the taiming of the shrew starts in a city called Padua in Italy when
